Minnie Mcconnell

McConnell, Minnie - Age 91, of Durand, died February 4, 2022. Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday, February 10, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 4PM - 7PM Wednesday and 10AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Minnie was born October 9, 1930 in Rotherham, England, the daughter of Clifford William and Florence Hilda (Shenton) Millitt. She married Russell C. McConnell in England on October 12, 1946 and he preceded her in death on August 19, 2006. Minnie  enjoyed crocheting hand towels and giving them to everyone who knew her. She loved baking cookies and fishing. Surviving are: daughters, Barbara (Randy) Clark of Montrose, Carolyn (Steve) Kelsey of Swartz Creek; 3 grandsons, and many great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Keith (Jackuline) Millitt of England and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother and five sisters.
