Minnie M. BUYTAS

BUYTAS, Minnie M. - Age 90, of Flint, died Wednesday, August 6, 2009 at Brian's House Hospice. Minnie was born June 17, 1919 in Flint, the daughter of William and Mary (Garner) Hesling and had lived in Flint most of her life. She married Joseph Buytas in 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1991. Mrs. Buytas was a nurse at St. Joseph Hospital, retiring after 30 years of service. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Surviving are: 3 children, Diane (Thomas) Baker of Swartz Creek, Joseph George Buytas Jr. of Swartz Creek and Michael John Buytas of Columbiaville; grandchildren, Thomas Baker II, Michelle Cooper, Gretchen Buytas, Joseph J. Buytas, Ashley Simpson, Christopher Buytas; 2 sisters, Dorothy Harris and Helen Peterson; 2 brothers, William Hesling and James (Trudi) Hesling; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Rev. Pat Stybert officiating. Burial will follow in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-9PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Brian's House Hospice or Last Chance Rescue.
