Miles Jerry Sweeney

SWEENEY, Miles Jerry  Age 50, of Flint, died Tuesday, April 19, 2005. A memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 23, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. The family will receive friends from 4-9 PM Friday at the funeral home. Jerry was born February 20, 1955 in Heber Springs, AR, the son of Miles Buddy and Reva (Allen) Sweeney. He was a graduate of Carmen High School and had served in the U.S. Navy for 13 years. Jerry was a security guard with Securitas Security Services (formerly, Pinkerton) at GM Truck and Bus Plant. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid Red Wings fan and loved his cats, Brandon and Phil. Surviving are: two sons, Jonathan and Joseph Sweeney; former wife, Panfila Fe Sweeney; mother, Reva Sweeney; sister, Sharon and husband, Dennis Pelky; two brothers, Frank Sweeney, Troy Sweeney and fiancâ?se, Dora Walker, all of Flint; several nieces and nephews.
