WATKINS, Mildred L., age 94, of Grand Blanc, formerly of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Prestige Point Care Center. Funeral Service will be 4PM Friday, November 28, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Fr. Steve Anderson officiating. Visitation will be 2PM until time of service. Burial will be at Maple Park Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Mildred was born in Dexter, Missouri the daughter of Riley Burton Lemmons and Effie Smith. She lived most of her life in Wichita, Kansas. Mildred was a beautician for many years, and an active member of her church. She enjoyed bowling in her spare time had a knack for making friends easily, and treasured all those friendships dearly. Mildred was a dedicated mother to her son, James Van Camp and will be remembered by her family as a fun loving Grandma. Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Van Camp of Swartz Creek, grandchildren, Sr. Joan Marie Van Camp (Sr. Josepha) of Livonia, Susan Harmon and husband Mark of Flint, Margaret Van Camp and good friend, Cindy of Swartz Creek, James 'Chip' Van Camp of Swartz Creek, Robert Matthew Van Camp and wife, Rosie of Holly, Michael Van Camp and wife, Cathy of Swartz Creek, Jennifer Welch and husband Charlie of Escanaba; 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 husbands, James Albert Van Camp, Paul Poole, William Watkins; and 2 sisters, Thelma and Gladys.
