Mildred Marie TUPPER

Tupper, Mildred M., age 95, of Montrose, died Tuesday October 18, 2011 at her residence. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Township. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at Montrose Township Cemetery at a later date. In Lieu of Flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may consider memorials to the Humane Society of Genesee County. Mildred was born October 11, 1916 in Montrose Township, the daughter of the late Bert and Lena (VanGorder) Britton. She married Leland W. Tupper on July 22, 1933. Mildred was employed for many years in retail sales with several different stores and had been a Red Cross volunteer for several years. She enjoyed dancing, music and gardening until her later years and was a member of the Montrose United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons, Dennis of Montrose and Terry (Kathi) of Flint; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents Thomas and Mary Ann Britton, husband Leland, daughter Patricia (Al) Alarie, siblings Myrtle, Marie, Ethel, Raymond and Cecil.
