Mildred Marie Taylor

TAYLOR, Mildred Marie -- Age 96, of Swartz Creek, died Monday, June 25,2007 at the Durand Senior Care Center. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Thursday, June 28 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor John Bailey officiating. Interment in Bristol Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-5 PM Wednesday. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Gaines UnitedMethodist Church. Mildred was born September 12, 1910 in Flint the daughter of William and Jennie (Bentley) Sherman. She married Morris Taylor on January 12, 1928; he preceded her in death November 5, 1998. Mrs. Taylor worked for Lasers Garden Shop in Durand for 20 years. She was a member of the Bristol United Methodist Church for 40 years, and the Gaines United Methodist Church for almost 50 years. Surviving are: daughter, Hazel and husband Carl Thalheim of Flint; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Eldred and Elwin Sherman; and her husband Morris Taylor. Tributes may be shared atwww.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
