Mildred Johnson

JOHNSON, Mildred Joan - Age 81, of Linden, died July 12, 2015. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the charity of one's choice. Mildred was born August 30, 1933 in Flint, the daughter of Thomas J. and Margaret L. (Kribtz) Culhane. She was married to Roger A. Johnson on January 12, 1957 in Flint; he preceded her in death on December 19, 2006. Mildred had been employed as a nurses aide by Argentine Care Center and later worked for Winter Seal of Holly. She loved going to casinos and playing bingo. Surviving are her sons, Jerry H. Smith, Michael L. Smith, Terry J. (Fannie) Johnson, Roger S. Johnson; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy (Harvey) Hawkins, Margaret (Leo) White, Leta Male. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Steven Smith; daughter, Valerie Bruce; granddaughter, Tiffany Smith; sisters, Norma Lannon and Isabella Pyne; brothers, Thomas Culhane and William James Culhane.
