Blankenship, Mildred Lee - Age 83, of Swartz Creek, passed away January 29, 2022, peacefully at home. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 pm Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Dan Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM in Indianfields Cemetery in Caro. Visitation will be held 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Crossroads Temple or Boys Town.
Mildred was born October 28, 1938 in Kimball, West Virginia, the daughter of Millard and Virginia (Harris) Parsons. Mildred married Elmer L. Blankenship on September 14, 1957 in West Virginia. She was a member of Crossroads Temple in Flint where she served as the church pianist. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and sewing. Mildred loved all of her children.
She is survived by two daughters, Debi (Chris) McGlashen and Pamela (Neil) Crafts; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Luci (Bob) Sharp, Shirley (Clarence) Tickle, Junior Parsons, Curtis (Brenda) Parsons, Che Chee (Roger) Tickle; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer; son, Alvin; daughters, Karen and Sherrie; and grandson, Aaron.
