Mildred Asp

ASP, Mildred Nathalie - age 90, of, Flint, died Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. Services will be held announced by Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Mrs. Asp was born April 15, 1924 in the Panama Canal Zone, the daughter of Jerry and Irma (Cauvin) Morgan. She grew up in Louisiana and had resided in Flint the last 60 years. She married Richard Asp on December 11, 1943 in New Orleans, LA and he preceded her in death on December 4, 2010. Mrs. Asp retired from Hudson's (now, Macy's) and had worked at Smith Bridgeman's. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was very active and had taught Sunday School. Mrs. Asp enjoyed bowling and gardening but most important to her life was providing a loving home for her family. Surviving are: son, Michael Asp and wife, Brenda of Flint; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
