Mildred C. ADAMS

ADAMS, Mildred C. - Age 92, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Nathan's Place. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association. Mildred was born June 9, 1916 in Paris, TN, the daughter of George and Clara (Pillow) Clement. She was married to Paul Adams in 1939; he preceded her in death on November 18, 1968. Mrs. Adams had been employed by General Motors and the Flint Public Library. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Flint, where she was a choir mother for 8 years. Mildred also enjoyed reading and golf. Surviving are: children, Pamela and husband Gregory Newhart of Swartz Creek, Gary and wife Marne Adams of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Elizabeth Newhart and husband Lee Johnson, Scott and wife Christine Newhart, Kathryn, Brewer and Will Adams; great-grandchildren, Adam Johnson, Jaxon and Kendal Newhart; sisters, Bettye and husband Douglas Kester, Dora and husband Harold Troy; several nieces and nephews.
