Michael Ray Yager

YAGER, Michael Ray, age 73, lifelong resident of Flint, passed away suddenly on September 11, 2024, just one day after the death of his mother, Joan. "Yager", as many called him, retired from AC Spark Plug / Delphi and was a proud member of UAW Local 651. Mike was a very nice man, a fun loving person and had many friends. Back in the day, Mike enjoyed traveling around the country in his custom Chevy van that had a lighted disco floor with his best buddy, Graham. Mike also visited the homes of his friends, dressed as Santa during the Christmas holidays, delivering gifts to the kids, roses to the ladies and a shot of whiskey to the men.

Mike was a founding member of the Annual Turkey Day Road Rally Scavenger Hunts and Thanksgiving Dinner which was held for over 50 years, beginning in the early 70's. He looked forward to this event every year and he enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre and poker. Mike married Elizabeth on November 15, 2022 and together they enjoyed raising their Award Winning Great Dane Pups.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Elizabeth; and her children, Frances, Robert and Tonya; sister, Karen; and nephews, Chase and Brandon; his cat, Cooper; and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda; and his previous wife, Tina.
