Michael Woodard

WOODARD, Michael Paul- Age 71, of Flint, died Thursday November 28, 2019. Funeral services will be held 11AM Monday, December 2 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Burial will follow in Crestwood Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 9AM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. Michael was born October 18, 1948 in Flint, the son of Clarence and Germaine (Durupt) Woodard. Michael proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from General Motors Buick City and Truck and Bus plant with 11.5 years of service. Michael enjoyed playing bingo and cards, softball and was an avid Nascar and Michigan football fan. Surviving are: daughters, Paula Woodard of Mt. Morris, Ashley Woodard - Edwards of Davison; seven grandchildren; sisters, Maryann (Gary) McGrath of Davison, Lana (Tom Ahearne) Grosinsky of Fenton; brother, Norman Woodard of Flint; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Davy and Alain Woodard; and nephew, Harry Grosinsky. Tributes may be posted at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
