Michael Watson

WATSON, Michael - Age 57, of Durand, died Monday, August 20, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, August 24, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday, 12-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Brian's House Hospice. Mr. Watson was born June 2, 1950 in Flint the son of David and Rachel (Davis) Watson. He was married to Stephanie Proffer in 1969 in Flint. Michael was truly dedicated to his work for General Motors V-8 Engine Plant, retiring in October of 2005 with 35 years of service. He had also coached Little League Baseball. Surviving are his wife, Stephanie; 4 children, Michael and wife Kathleen Watson, Robbie Watson, Jamie and wife Suzanne Watson, and Terra Watson; 5 grandchildren, Brenden, Chandler, Alex, Hannah and Jared; 5 sisters, Sylvia, Lucy, Linda, Susie and Sherry; brother, Patrick; many nieces and nephews.
