Michael Townley

TOWNLEY, Michael Lee- Age 65, of Flint Township, died Friday, April 1, 2016. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, April 5 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Committal service at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday with a VFW Memorial service starting at 7PM. The family will also receive friends from 11 AM - 1 PM Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to an organization of ones choice to benefit veterans. Michael was born February 26, 1951 in Flint, the son of Russell and Lorraine (Bott) Townley. He was a 1969 Graduate of Linden High School. Michael served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. He was an active member and past commander with the VFW Chevrolet Post 3087. He married Eva Hill on December 4, 1999 in Flint and she preceded him in death on July 15, 2013. He worked at Grand Blanc Printing for 20 years. Michael is survived by his siblings, Robert (Jeannine) Townley of Grand Blanc, Thomas Townley of Defiance, OH, Fred (Ellen) Townley of Paulding, OH and Deborah Townley of Fenton; many nieces and nephews.
