Michael John TINTI

April 23, 1944 — May 4, 2011

TINTI, Michael John of Fenton, Michigan passed away Wednesday May 4, 2011. Born April 23, 1944 in Norway, Michigan; to the late Nazareno "Flan" and the late Dorothy Tinti. He and his wife Linda were married in Loretto, Michigan at St. Stephens on July 23rd 1966; he is also survived by his two sons Gabriel and Benjamin, daughter in law Jacki (Gabriel), his grandson Magnus and sister Susan. He will be missed by sisters in law Jean (Pat) Sullivan, Ann (Michael) Moraska, and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. He graduated from Vulcan High School in Vulcan, Michigan and Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan with a degree in Economics. Michael was an Engineer for General Motors at Flint V8 and Flint Engine South. He was part of many organizations such as Commemorative Bucks of Michigan and the Linden Sportsmen Club. He shot trap and qualified to participate in the Grand American. He had many friends and was a founding member in the GRIT and Rendezvous societies. He played his saxophone in many bands in High School including the Heartbeats a band comprised of several friends. He was an unbeatable racquetball player and he and Linda loved to dance. He spent much time at his beloved family farm in the Upper Peninsula. He was an avid family man and an exceptional outdoorsman. Many fish and deer will be spared this season. A special thanks to Dr. Sean Gilin, Davita Dialysis in Grand Blanc especially Michelle and Phil, Dr. James Cure, Dr. Morrie Gertz at the Mayo Clinic, U of M dental clinic, his nurses in many places and friends who went beyond friendship, Kirk Barkel and Debbie Stiff. A memorial service will take place at Linden Sportsmen Club from 2pm to 7pm June 11th casual attire. The family would like people to share happy stories and celebrate in honoring his life.
