MOODY, Michael Thomas - age 79, of Fenton, died May 26, 2023. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, June 15, 2023 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley St., Flint, MI with Rev. Fr. Thomas Firestone celebrant. The family will receive friends from 10 AM - 11 AM Thursday at the church. Veteran's honors and burial of cremated remains will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday at Great Lakes National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gary Haggart Club (www.garyhaggartclub.org). Michael was born December 4, 1943 in Flint, the son of John Thomas and Mary Josephine (Dolezel) Moody. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Michael retired from Consumer's Energy as a Gas Linesman. He enjoyed spending time on Lake Fenton with family and friends. Michael was also an avid Detroit sports fan and Michigan State University sports fan. He was a founding member of the Gary Haggart Club. Surviving are: daughter, Michelle (Robert) Ball of West Olive, MI; son, Bryan (Nicki) Moody of Haslett, MI; seven grandchildren, Ethan, Emma, Nate and Joshua Ball and Stella Jo, Oliver and Will Moody; siblings, Mary Moody Bronston (Ken) of Traverse City; John T. (Debbie) Moody of Davison, Kathy "Weener" Haggart of Fenton, and Susie (Bob) Patton of Fenton; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; nephew, Duncan Moody Bronston, infant brother, Joseph and brother-in-law, Gary Haggart. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W.
