Michael Dean Sparks

SPARKS, Michael Dean - Age 54, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. A funeral service will take place 4:00 PM, Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Danae Daria will preside with cremation following. Visitation will take place from 1:00 PM until the time of the service on Sunday. In accordance with Michaels wishes, please dress in casual clothing for the service. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the family. 

Michael was born on December 16, 1968 in Flint the son of Raymond and Brenda (Stowers) Sparks. He graduated from Swartz Creek High School, class of 1986. Michael worked as a heavy machine operator for Fessler and Bowman. He was proud to work in trades and construction. He enjoyed being at the lake and spending time with his family and friends.  

He is survived by his children, Kimberly Silva, Michelle Sparks, Michael Sparks and Brooke Sparks; sisters, Laura Sparks and Rebecca (Todd) Ruby; nieces and nephews, Kristina Sparks, Chelsea (Devin) Cunningham and Todd Ruby Jr.; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Brenna and Callen Cunningham and John Paul and Zoey Mendez. 

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Daniel and Robert Sparks; father-in-law, Pete Silva; and mother-in-law, Yenny Matos. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
