Michael Ricardo Ruiz

RUIZ, Michael Ricardo - age 67, of Flint, passed in peace on January 2, 2024 at his residence. Born August 2, 1957 to Estella C. Ruiz and Candelario M. Ruiz in Flint, Michigan. In 1975, Michael graduated from Flint Powers Catholic High School. Michael, aka “Taco” was an avid and exceptional bowler in the Flint community where he held city records and led many teams to countless victories. Sobriety was also important to Michael and was 27 years sober. In the 80’s and 90’s Michael worked for General Motors,  where he later became a private independent truck driver for 20+ years. Michael is survived by his daughter, Jessica Ruiz as well as his siblings, Sylvia Ruiz, Eddie Ruiz and half sister, Maria Sanford as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends. Michael is proceeded in death by his mother Estella, father Candelario  and step-mother, Patricia. Michael was one whose heart was big and he enjoyed taking care of others and making sure those around him were fed amazing food, laughing and smiling. He is known for his big personality, big smile and over all that “Taco” energy that was truly one of a kind.
