RILEY, Michael Patrick - Age 68, of Flint, died Tuesday, May 28, 2019 after a brief illness. A memorial service will be held 12PM Saturday July 20 at Swartz Creek Church of the Nazarene, 7154 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek. Mike was born July 24, 1950 in Flint. He retired from G.I.S.D. after 30 years of working in Special Education. After retirement, he worked with mentally impaired adults in area group homes. Mike was a caretaker and Saint to these individuals. He was a true family man, loving father and brother. His true passion was being a Gampa to Reidy. Mike was well known for his sloppy kisses, love of music, singing, and wealth of trivia knowledge. If you ever needed a "lifeline" on a game show, Mike was your man. He was an avid Detroit Tigers and U of M sports fan. Left to cherish his memory are: two daughters, Melissa Riley of Oxford and Stacy Riley of Denver, CO; grandson, Reidy; five siblings, Greg Riley of Owosso, Vickie Benko (Jerry Anderson) of Flint, Randy (Janet) Riley of Burton, Matthew (Jackie) Riley of Owosso, and Kevin (Rachel) Koyl of Fostoria; step-mother, Faye Riley of Owosso; many nieces and nephews; mother of his daughters, Kathi Riley. He was preceded in death by: his father, Donald Riley; mother, Marion Koyl; stepfather, Robert Koyl; grandparents, Robert and Inez Smith.
