Michael Reid

REID, Michael Jason - Age 48, of Clarkston died suddenly on February 18, 2018. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, February 23, 2018 at St. Rita Catholic Church, 309 E. Maple St., Holly. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton and from 10 AM until the time of Mass Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Powers Catholic High School Scholarship Fund or U of M/CS Mott Childrens Hospital Save A Heart Campaign Fund (331463). Michael was born June 21, 1969 to James M. Reid of Roscommon and Barbara S. (Trosko) Reid of Fenton, they survive him. He attended St. Robert Catholic School and Powers Catholic High School, where he played football, hockey and baseball. Mike graduated from Western Michigan University and worked as a financial planner. He had the biggest heart, especially for his son, James Maximus Reid of Clarkston, his family and his "homeboys" from Flushing and Powers. He loved coaching his son, Higgins Lake, the hunting land and U of M Football. He is also survived by his sister, Kara Marshall and her children, Hannah, John and Meghan; three uncles; three aunts and eight cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Helen Trosko, William and Jeanne Reid; and his special friend, Jeff Peppler. Peace be to our Michael.
