Michael NEMER

NEMER, Mike - Age 69, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, December 4, 2009 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM Monday, December 7, 2009 at Our Lady of Lebanon, 4101 Calkins Road, Flint. Fr. Hanna Tayar celebrant. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Sunday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM and at church Monday from 9:00 AM until time of Mass. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home 7:00 PM Sunday. Contributions may be made to the family. Mike was born February 5, 1940 in Lebanon, the son of Assad and Latife (Al-Baba) Nemer. He married Samira Raad September 5, 1965 in Lebanon. He owned and operated Ridan, Inc for 20 years retiring in 1996. Surviving are: wife, Samira; 3 children, Joann Al-Baba of Swartz Creek, Danny and wife Jennifer Nemer of Swartz Creek and Steven and wife Fadia Nemer of Flushing; 6 grandchildren, Samantha, Danielle, Nicole, Gabriella and Stephanie Nemer and Michael Al-Baba; 2 brothers, George Nemer of Swartz Creek and Kal and wife Diane Nemer of Swartz Creek; 3 sisters, Georgette Yusuf of Swartz Creek, Laurice Matta of Flint and Jamal and husband George Skaff of Canada; sister-in-law, Nejmeh Nemer of Swartz Creek; several nieces and nephews.
