Michael Audie MURPHY

MURPHY, Michael Audie - Age 36, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, December 31, 2009 due to an act of violence. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, January 4, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint, Pastor Larry Nagenast officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, those desirng may make contributions to the Michael Audie Murphy Memorial Fund, c/o Sharp Funeral Homes, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint, MI 48507. Michael was born March 10, 1973 in Flint, the son of Richard D. and Dawn L. (Smith) Murphy. He was an avid Red Wings fan. Surviving are: fiancee, Cynthia Smith of Swartz Creek; 3 sons, Brennan Murphy "best friends for life", Spencer Murphy and Andrew Murphy (Spencer and Andrew's mother, Jennifer Koryciak); special children, Kira, Kennedy, Justin, Dale, Jordan and Annalicia; 5 brothers, Charles Murphy and Peggy Prossen of Linden, Edward Murphy of Swartz Creek, Richard Murphy, Jr. of Swartz Creek, Thomas and wife Colleen Murphy of Flint Township and Gary Murphy of Flint; 4 sisters, Ann Vecchiarelli and Jim Cole of Flint, Jane and husband Bill Mansfield of Lake Orion, Mary Katherine and husband Mark Doyle of Flint Township and Tammy Murphy and Tony Lehr of Flushing; several nieces, nephews and friends.
