Michael Duane MOLNAR

MOLNAR, Michael Duane - age 68, of Flint Twp., died Monday, March 26, 2012 at McLaren Flint. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, March 30, 2012 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd. with Rev. Fr. Steven Mattson celebrant. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-9 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Thursday evening. Memorial Donations may be made to St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Mr. Molnar was born October 10, 1943 in Flint, the son of John and Arlene (Peek) Molnar. He married Onalee Wetenhall in 1972. Michael was a meat cutter and manager for Kroger and had worked at Kessel and Hamady Bros. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed sports, especially hockey. Mr. Molnar was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a man of faith. Most of all he loved his family. Surviving are: wife, Onalee of Flint Twp.; two sons, Jon Molnar of Flint Twp, Brian (Lisa) Sturgess of Swartz Creek; two daughters, Karen (Steve) Jackson of Swartz Creek, Vickie Sturgess of Grand Blanc; six grandchildren, Brandon (Laura), Aubrey, Dakota, Montana, Ashley (Brent Eaton), and Vincent; siblings, Darold Johnson of Montana, Mark (Kathie) Johnson of TN, Janet (Ed) Wasik of Linden, Judy Porritt of Flint Twp., Paula (Mark) Sweeney of Flint Twp.; mother, Arlene Johnson; aunt, Mae Peek; many other special family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John Molnar, stepfather, Darold Johnson, Sr; brother-in-law, Gary Porritt.
