McHALE, Michael Dugal - Age 71, of Flint, died Wednesday July 13, 2016. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint, followed by Military Honors. Visitation will be held 5-8PM Friday and from 10AM until the time of service on Saturday. Committal service 1:30 PM Thursday, July 28 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. Michael was born June 13, 1945 in Flint. He served in the United States Marine Corps. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines never left him, he would always go out of his way to help anyone. Early in life he had a career at Dupont. After retirement he spent time collecting Military Memorabilia and selling in the Royal Oak Flea market. He enjoyed afternoon porch gatherings with neighborhood friends, and also enjoyed animals and nature. All celebrations were important to him including St. Patrick's Day and the Marine Corps Birthday. Michael is survived by his children, Michael James McHale, and Michelle McHale Raybon; siblings Mary McHale, Karen McHale Cherveny (Jerry), Bonnie McHale, Patrick McHale, Robin McHale, and Duke McHale; grandchildren, Megan McHale, Melea and Jesse Raybon, Cassandra (George) Zugel; niece and nephew Jaclynn Busch and Tony McHale. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Howard and Harriet June McHale. His wish was to be laid to rest in his 1966 Ford van.
