Michael Mayfield

MAYFIELD, Michael Ernest - age 58, of Swartz Creek, died October 3, 2020 in Bluff City, TN. A sharing service will be held  12 PM Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Followed by a graveside service at 1 PM at Sunset Hills Cemetery, 4413 Flushing Rd., Flint with Fr. Dan Kogut officiating. Visitation will be held 10AM until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Michael was born September 14, 1962, the son of Albert and Barbara (Aucompaugh) Mayfield. He worked in Advanced Funeral Planning with funeral homes for many years. Beginning his career with Sharp Funeral Homes and most recently as Vice President and Sales Director for Heritage Funeral Homes and Cemeteries in Tennessee. Surviving are: four children, Morgan (Paul) Bjorklund of Linden, Autumn (Chris) Brown of Flushing, Michael Mayfield of Swartz Creek; and Chad Downing (Punim Kallaya) of MI; four grandchildren, Taylor, Katelyn, Chloe and Makayli Bjorklund; father, Albert (Elnora) Mayfield of Swartz Creek; sister, Cathy (Mark) Witherspoon of Metamora; two nephews, Aaron Shuman and Conor Witherspoon; aunt, Dorothy Mayfield of Flint.
