Michael MATSON

MATSON, Michael Dorn - Age 54, of Swartz Creek, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Funeral service will be held 12PM Friday, June 19, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor Glen Gardner officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8PM Thursday at the funeral homes. Michael was born December 7, 1954 in Flint, MI, the son of Edward James and Phyllis Lorraine (Matthews) Matson. He retired from Delphi in 2006 and was a member of UAW Local 651. He coached AAU girl's basketball for four years and enjoyed golfing, computer gaming and sports in general. He will be greatly missed by: wife, Pam Matson of Swartz Creek; children, Melissa Matson and fiance Solomon of Swartz Creek, Michelle Matson of Swartz Creek, Michael (Jenny) Oldrham of Swartz Creek, Carrie (Brian) Hindmon of Portland, MI; grandchildren, Natalie, Cameron, Karlee and Solomon Jr.; 2 sisters, Debbie and Terry; many nieces and nephews. He will also be fondly remembered by his best friend, Dave Smith as well as his former co-workers, loving famiy and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his Mom and Dad and a Brother.
