Michael Egan

Egan, Michael R., age 68, of Flint, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at Brian's House Hospice, Davison.  A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM, Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Michael was born in Flint, son of  Edmond A. and Eleanor (Duckworth)Egan. He was a retired meat cutter, veteran of the US Army Ranger Paratroopers, a member of the Eagles Aerie 629, and had been a fund raiser for MDA for 25 years from 1978 thru 2003.  He married Frances (Mc Clain)Clark, February 24, 1978. Surviving are his wife, Frances of Flint; children James and wife Charlene Egan of Ohio, Judith and husband Wendell Dompier, Mary Olson both of Baraga, Michael Egan II of Flint, Step children, Lynne and husband Daniel McIntosh of Flint, Bernard Newman of Lake Fenton, 12 Grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, 4 brothers James and wife Wanda Egan, John Egan, Richard and wife Debbie Egan, Edmond and wife Bev Egan, 2 sisters, Ann Hardin, Jeannie and husband Robert Simpson, special cousins Vern Hollis, Carol Ann Throwbridge, many nieces and nephews and special friends Jack Matejcek and Dale Howe and McGee and McDuff.  He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Francis (Guy) Egan and Robert Egan, 1 sister Janet Gilbert.Those desiring may share online condolences or post a tribute at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
