Michael Davis

DAVIS, Michael R.- Age 63, of Swartz Creek, died May 1, 2016. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, May 7 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Michael was born January 23, 1953 in Flint, the son of Violet Joann (Taylor) Barnes. He married Carol L. Sexton on January 6, 1973 in Flint. Michael retired from General Motors as an electrician having worked at Fisher Coldwater Rd., and Flint Metal Fab. He was an avid golfer and worked his dream job at Crooked Tree Golf Course in Petoskey after retiring from GM. Michael also loved to spend time at his condo at Boyne Mountain. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol; children, Heather (Robert McPherson) Mason, Josh Davis, Jason (Mandi) Davis, and Angie (Rob) Root; grandchildren, John, Stephen, Rosie, Parker, Gunnar, Emma, Payton, Milo, and Guy; brothers, Ron (Stacey) Davis and Danny Barnes. Michael was preceded in death by his mother.
