Michael Brooks

BROOKS, Michael Jacob - age 77, of Fenton, formerly of Sault Ste. Marie, died Friday, December 29, 2017. A memorial service will be held 1 PM Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. The family will receive friends from 11 AM - 1 PM Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center (www.mcancer.org/giving/) or Medical Team Hospice, 4400 S. Saginaw St., Suite 1300, Flint, MI 48507. Michael was born July 4, 1940 in Highland Park, MI, the son of Neil and Helen (Karinen) Brooks. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Michael was a Certified Public Accountant and retired from the Bay Mills Indian Community. He loved playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are: two daughters, Amy (Marty) Rosen and Paige (Kristopher) Riley, all of Fenton; two grandchildren, Henry and Evelyn Riley; brother, Richard; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
