Michael S. ABBOTT

ABBOTT, Michael S. - age 50, of Flint, died Thursday, March 26, 2009 at his residence. Services will be held 11 AM Monday, March 30, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-9 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to American Cancer Society. Following the service there will be a luncheon at 1:30 PM at the Auto City Eagles Club on Clio Rd., Mt. Morris. Mike was born October 7, 1958 in Flint, the son of John and Patsy (Evans) Abbott. He was a pipe fitter for General Motors and had owned his own plumbing business for many years as a master plumber. Mike enjoyed traveling, deep sea fishing and glass blowing. Surviving are: wife, Suzette; two daughters, Jennifer Lassiter, Amanda Abbott; two nephews, Jon Abbott and Josh Abbot; step-children, Ashley Farrington and Douglas McTaggart, Jr.; four grandchildren; father, Jon Abbott; three brothers, Jon Abbott, Matt McQueen and Jimmy McQueen; sister, Daina Thompson.
