Merri Smith

SMITH, Merri Elizabeth - Age 55, of Flint, died December 10, 2019. Services will be held 2 PM Sunday, December 15, 2019, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Fr. Dan Scheid officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, 12 PM until time of service.  Those desiring may make contributions to Adopt-A-Pet of Fenton.  Merri was born November 11, 1965 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Henry and Beverly (Aldred) Heidel. She married Scott Smith on October 22, 1994. She was a hard worker with an amazing work ethic. Merri had many friends in the restaurant business and loved downtown Flint. She was very generous and had a love for animals. She is survived by her husband, Scott; son, Duncan (Dakota) Smith; sister, Lee Ann (David) Thal; father, Henry (Arlene) Heidel; nieces, Tyler (Kevin) Dick and Casey (Austin) Verville; great niece, Avery James Dick and great nephew Greyson David Dick.
