NELSON, Melvin (Mike), age 83 of Flint, died Monday, September 4, 2006 at Hamilton House.  Mr. Nelson was born on February 21, 1923 in Deer Creek, Minnesota.  He has been a Flint area resident most of his live.  He was a Veteran of W.W.II  serving in the U.S. Army.  He retired from A.C. Spark Plug Division in 1988 after 47 years of service. Mr. Nelson was a member of the Phoenix United Methodist Church, a member of the  Chevrolet Motor Post 3087 VFW. and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 629.  Surviving are three children;  Jenny Lynn Taylor and husband Harvey of Swartz Creek, Kurt Robin Nelson and wife Diane) of Mundy Twp. and Coleen Marie DeMoss of Fenton.  Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a brother Ronald Nelson of Lapeer and a sister Kayleen Tinkelpaugh of Clio along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Rosalie in August of 1995.  Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 7, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Grand Blanc Twp. Rev.
