Baker Melvin Earl - Age 79, of Flint, died December 8, 2024. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, December 13, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10 AM Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Melvin was born April 25, 1945 the son of Charles and Marjorie May (Smith) Baker Sr. He worked in construction as a roofer. Melvin also worked for General Motors. He enjoyed woodworking. Melvin is survived by his daughter, Sherry Bogue; sons, Kevin Baker, Robert Baker, Melvin Baker Jr.; sister, Beverley Willard; brother, Gill Baker; special nephew, Glen (Pug); and his beloved dog, "Happy Jack". He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marjorie Baker; life partner, Sue; brothers, James, Glen, Charles, and George; sisters, Betty, Sarah, and Susie.
