Melody Kay Gwinn

Gwinn, Melody Kay- Age 75, of Byron, died May 26, 2024. A memorial service will be at 12:00 PM Friday, August 9 at Byron Methodist Church, 101 S. Ann Street, Byron with interment following at 1:00 PM in the Byron City Cemetery. Visitation and Lunch will begin at 11:00 AM until the service time. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad Street, Linden.

 Melody was born May 8, 1949 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Bruce Laverne McComb and Doris Adelle (Kernen) McComb. She was a 1967 graduate of Linden High School. She married Conley Terril Gwinn on February 14, 1968; he preceded her in death June 14, 2013. She has worked for Durand Convalescent Center for many years retiring as their Activities Director. She enjoyed gardening, thrift shopping, bowling and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Surviving are: four children, Rylan Gwinn, Rayna Gwinn, Ransom (Brooke) Gwinn, Random (Danielle) Gwinn; five grandchildren, Hannah, Caeden, Keira, Morgan, and McKinley; siblings, Jim (Brenda) McComb, Cindy Eddy, Barb Cole, Stephanie Caruso; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother-in-law Bill Pruit; siblings, Marvin McComb, Glen McComb, Judy Newcomb, Jeff McComb, Joann "Annie" Naramore, Steve McComb, and Tom McComb.
