GANNON, Maybelle - Age 87, of Flushing formerly of Linden, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM Monday, July 12, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton, with Fr. David Harvey celebrating. Burial in Tyrone Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Sunday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home 2:00 PM Sunday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Maybelle was born December 10, 1922 in Hillman, the daughter of Joseph and Clara (Eroid) Squires. She married Charles E. Gannon December 1, 1944 in Flint and he preceded her in death October 2, 2001. Maybelle retired from Fenton Extended Care as the Dietician Supervisor. She had resided in Flushing since 1978 coming from Linden. She was a member of St. Robert Catholic Church and a former member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was proud of her Irish, French and Scottish Heritage. Surviving are: 5 daughters, Bonnie and husband Homer Conrad of Ft. Myers, FL, Patti and husband John Haner of Flushing, Lynne and husband Dennis Gauthier of Flushing, Connie and husband Dave Piacentini of Rochester Hills and Margaret "Boe" and husband David Glover of Ann Arbor; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; sister, Faye and husband Linuel Belote of Rochester Hills; brother, Floyd and wife Martha Squires of Hillman; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; great granddaughter, Abigalle Todd; 2 brothers, Daniel and John "Jack" Squires; sister, Grace Burley.
