Maxine D. Walcott

WALCOTT, Maxine, age 87, of Fenton, died Thursday, May 22, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Maxine was born in Fenton, February 4, 1921 the daughter of Jesse V. and Irene Powlison.  She graduated from Baker Business College in 1940 and was employed by Chevrolet Flint Motors as a secretary to the Personnel Director. Maxine married Dr. Carver Walcott on October 19, 1968 and he has preceded her in death. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fenton where she was a choir member for twenty-nine years, The Bayview Club, Genesee County Medical Society and a former member of St. Cecilia Society. Surviving are her brother, Eugene N. Powlison and wife, Maxine of Fenton; nephew, David E. Powlison and wife, Lisa of Vermont; niece, Karen I. Benson and husband, Robert of Birmingham; great-nephews and nieces, Spencer Powlison of Colorado, Meredith Powlison of Vermont, Brendan and Blaine Benson of Birmingham. She was also preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held 1PM Thursday, May 29, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church of Fenton, 503 S. Leroy St., Fenton. Pastor Dale C.
