Ray, Maxine Jeanette - Age 89, of Jackson, died September 11, 2019. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, September 18 at Page Avenue Baptist Church 5023 Page Avenue, Jackson. Pastor Kim Conant officiating. Burial at Page Avenue Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are provided by Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint. Maxine was born July 12, 1930 in Jackson, the daughter of Francis and Helen (Barnard) Martin. She is survived by her children, Duane Benstead, Janet (Mike) Rudd, Donald Andrus, Debra Pickrell, Dennis Benstead, Sharon Benstead; grandchildren: Matt, Jeff, Charlotte, Michael, Ricky, Lindsay, Dennis Jr., Timmy, Angel, Kim, Michelle, and Jimmy; great grandchildren, Jacob, Nick, Hailey, Benjamin, Lucas, Sambet, Theodore; sisters, Marion McVay, Joyce Noble; brother, Leonard Martin; several nieces and nephews, including special niece Lori Seamans; close friends, Cindy Locke and Kim Conant. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband: Walker Ray; grandchildren: Brent and Ashley; brothers: Doug Durwood, and Kenny Martin; sister: Betty Love.
