Maxine was born February 17, 1926 in Barry, MO, one of seven children of Thomas and Florence (Smalley) Plummer. She married Donald Baxter on December 28, 1946 in Flint. Following her husband's retirement they moved to Glennie, MI where they resided for many years. Maxine then enjoyed living at Bella Vista in Grand Blanc, before spending her last few years living with her daughter. She was a longtime member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church and the United Methodist Church of Glennie. She loved spending time with her family, walking, doing puzzles and watching Western's in her favorite chair.
Maxine was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be missed dearly, especially her quick wit that made everyone laugh. She is survived by her children, Donald "Mike" (Kay) Baxter and Sherry Baxter (Dennis Kelley); granddaughters, Cindy (Russ) McLean and Betsy (Tom) Kato; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Micah, Maxwell, Tanner, Macy, Madison and Logan; many nieces and nephews who fondly referred to her as "Aunt Mac". She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; six siblings and daughter-in-law, Christine Baxter. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
