Maxine Abbott

Maxine Faye Abbott (Rude) - age 95 of Christopher, Illinois, Flint, Michigan and Kennesaw, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 1st, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones. Memorial services will be held 4 PM Sunday, December 5 at Sharp Funeral Home 1000 Silver Lake Rd. Fenton. A graveside service will be held 1 PM Sunday, May 8 at Evergreen Cemetery. ( A live stream of the service will be available on Maxine's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com ). Visitation will be held 2 PM until the time of the service. She was born February 20, 1926, a coal miner’s daughter of the late Ernest and Zelma Rude.  The matriarch of her family, surviving all of her siblings and cousins. She enjoyed bingo, traveling, movies, dancing and making fudge and dumplings for all she loved. She will be remembered as an angel among us. She was a lifetime member of VFW Post 5408. Surviving are: children, Gregory Abbott, Julia (David) Birmingham, Gordon Abbott, Rebecca Blessing, Lisi White and Lori Abbott. Grandchildren: Kerry (Jeff) Turner, Jenny Osorio, Jason Birmingham, Justin Taipalus (Kristy Coughlin), Brandon (Melissa) Birmingham, Dwayne Kilbourne, Kalle (Mike) Hill, Zachary Abbott-Main, Linnzi Miller (Jimmy Skinner), Erik Abbott-Main, Jon (Abbie) Taipalus, Kelsey (Yuri) Zwick, Jim (Kristyn) Taipalus. Great-Grandchildren: Ewan, Mara, Cali, Reid, Allie, Jax, Tristan, Weston, Elijah, Asher, Quinlan, Jamie, Madi, Jaron, Keena, Kaari, J’lenet, Raelyn, Bennett, Blake, Lucy, Eva, Laken. She was preceded in death by: husband, Ben Abbott (President UAW Local 1292), son, Jeffory Abbott.
