Maurice Wilson

WILSON, Maurice "Stub" - Age 86, of Fenton, died February 18, 2019. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Parkinson's Foundation. Maurice was born February 20, 1932 in Plainfield Twp., the son of James and Margaret (Munroe) Wilson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from General Motors. He loved lake living and was a charter member of the Lobdell-Bennett Lake Association. In 2007 he was the first recipient of the "Lobdell-Bennett Lake Association Stub Wilson Dedication Award". Stub is survived by his sons, Dr. Maurice (Sonja) Wilson Jr. and Bradley (Michele) Wilson; grandchildren, Courtney (Jason) Stefanik, Megan (Ryan) Sanchez, Carissa (Don) Funk, Carrie Wilson and Max Wilson; great-grandsons, Soren and Nolan Funk; sister, Audrey Kocher; sister-in-law, Barbara Wilson; several nieces and nephews.
