Maurice Henry Jeffers

JEFFERS, Maurice Henry - Age 85, of Westchester, Ohio, formerly of Flint, died Friday, June 30, 2006 at his residence. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Amos Wischmeyer celebrant. Interment will follow at Bendle Cemetery, Clayton Twp. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Monday and 2-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed Tuesday evening. Mr. Jeffers was born April 19, 1921 in Flint, the son of Herman and Alice (Vioux) Jeffers and was a graduate of Flint Central High School. He was married to Anna Kocian in New York, NY in 1945. He served in the US Army during World War II. Mr. Jeffers retired from GM Fisher Body in 1982 with 43 years of service as a Millwright. He was a member of the U.A.W. and Flushing VFW. Mr. Jeffers loved music, bowling, woodworking and spent years collecting stones from all over the country. Surviving are: wife, Ann Jeffers of Westchester, OH; son, Randy Jeffers and wife, Ann Marie of Westchester, OH; daughter-in-law, Doreen Jeffers of Swartz Creek; two granddaughters, Ashley and Shannon Jeffers; brother, Jack Jeffers of FL, two sisters, Angel Jeffers of Flushing, Doris Skrepnek and husband, William of Lennon; many nieces and nephews.
