Maureen Gellings

GELLINGS, Maureen Mary - Age 60, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, December 5, 2008 at Genesys Health Park. Services will be held 7:30 PM Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until the time of service. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Fragile X Syndrome Society of America. Maureen was born October 31, 1948 in Flint, the daughter of William E. and Gloria Y. (Duffey) Dooley. She was a 1966 graduate of Fenton High School and attended Ferris State University. Maureen married Joseph B. Gellings on January 10, 1976 in Swartz Creek. She retired from Buick Motor Company. Surviving are: husband, Joseph; son, Brian Gellings and wife, Sara of Clio; three grandsons, Michael, Mason and Jacob; brother, William Dooley and wife, Marjorie of Sidney, OH; sister, Lisa Dooley of Sidney, OH; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Christina, Julie Ann, Brieanne, Shelly, Kim, Kelly, Melissa, Jill, Cindy, Anthony and Bob; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael and Linda, Patricia, Susan and Levon, Martha and Paul; Parents-in-law, Henry and Betty Gellings of Swartz Creek; best friends, Judy, Laurie and Geri.
