Maude Bourassa

Bourassa, Maude Leota Frances -- Age 97, of  Fenton, died August 13, 2022. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday August 25 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Linden . Visitation will be held 11 AM until the time of the funeral on Thursday August 25. Maude was born December 11, 1924 in Bowling Green, Ohio, the daughter of Wade and Ebodema (Moore) Houghton. She married Vern Bourassa on October 25, 1947 in Durand; he preceded her in death February 2, 2001. She started work in the Chevrolet Tank Plant in WWII as a secretary. She retired from working many years for the MESC. She enjoyed knitting afghans.  Surviving are: son, Gary (Julie) Bourassa of Lansing; grandchild, Katherine Felix Bourassa.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vern; son, David and sibling Robert and Elizabeth.
