WARNER, Matthew Dennis - age 62, of Byron, died Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Memorial Healthcare in Owosso. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be held 12 PM - 7 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Warner was born September 12, 1953 in Frankfort, MI, the son of Robert and Kathryn (Matthews) Warner. He married Alta LaPointe on September 28, 1971. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany from 1971-1974. Mr. Warner was a Process Engineer with Diamond Chrome Plating. Surviving are: wife, Alta of Byron; three children, Kathy and husband, Bill Green of Fenton, Russell Warner and wife, Lilia of S.C., Richard Warner of S.C.; seven grandchildren, Robert and wife, Tiffany, Daniela, Shauna, Stephanie, Zack, Kyle and Dominic; three great-grandchildren, Quincy, Mykenzie and Logan; mother, Kathryn Warner and step-father, Leo Vliet, Jr.; seven siblings, Kathryn Lerma, Tim Bradley and wife, Laura, David Warner and wife, Nancy, Diana and husband, Mike Waugh, Melanie and husband Don Utt, Leo Vliet, Brian Vliet and wife, Jean; many nieces and nephews.
