SINGLETON, Matthew Bryant, age 25, a resident of Grand Blanc, died Saturday, April 29, 2005 in Oakland County. Matthew was born in Flint on March 13, 1980 the son of Billy Ray and Janet (White) Singleton. He was a lifelong resident of the Grand Blanc Area. Matthew graduated from the Springfield Christian Academy in Clarkston in the class of 1998. Later he attended Baker College. He had been employed at Mr. Bs restaurant in Clarkston for 3 years and the past year at Chilis restaurant in Auburn Hills. Matthew loved his family dearly, he liked playing the guitar, he enjoyed art and freehand drawing. He was very faithful to all those he called friend and he loved being in Kentucky to visit. Surviving is his mother, Janet Welch and husband David of Grand Blanc, his father, Billy Singleton and wife Brenda of Artemus, Ky. Grandfather, Oral White of Linden, Grandmother, Marjorie Welch of Oscoda, Sister Karen Scheffer and husband Fritz of Waterford, Brother Billy Singleton and wife Margaret of Waterford, Niece and nephew, William and Sarah Both of Waterford, 4 step-sisters, Heather Smith and Crystal Jackson of Ky, Stephanie Schneider of Goodrich and Joni Batterbee of Grand Blanc. Also a dear friend Alana Jordon of Austin, Texas and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. (Just South of Hill Rd.) Rev. Grant Wessel will officiate and burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Linden. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1 to 8 P.M. Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 A.M. until service time.
