McKENZIE, Matthew Todd  Age 32, of Genesee, died Sunday, November 23, 2003 as a result of an automobile accident. Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. (just south of Hill Rd.), Flint with Rev. Harold K. Polk officiating. Interment in will be held at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Monday and 12-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Matthew was born April 11, 1971 in Flint, the son of Lynn McKenzie and Deborah McFarlin. He married Carrie Hosmer on October 17, 1992. Matthew was a machinist at Century Tool in Fenton for many years. He loved snowmobiling and camping with his family. He was a member of the Genesee Lions Club and was well known for his sense of humor and making everyone laugh. Matthew was a family man, his wife and children were the most important to him. Surviving are: wife, Carrie; five children, Steven-Ray Perry, Cadie-Marie Janet, Allie-Sue Lynn, Nicolas-Matthew Robert, Ethan-Scott Thomas; mother and step-father, Deborah and Ronald VanEckhoutte of Flint; father and step-mother, Lynn and Jan McKenzie; eight siblings, Melissa and husband, John Danko, Heather and husband, Timothy Wheeler, all of Flint, Jamie McKenzie of Tucson, AZ, Robin and husband, Doug May, Chance VanEckhoutte, Helen and husband, Jeff Hamby, all of Flint, Kathleen and husband, Daniel Quinn of Howell; many nieces and nephews.
