GRAVES, Matthew Alonzo "Lon" - Age 77, of Gaines, died August 21, 2017. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, August 25 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 3-8PM Thursday, and from 12PM until the time of service on Friday. Interment at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery in Grand Blanc. Those desiring may make contributions to Camp Fish Tales, 2177 E Erickson Rd, Pinconning, MI 48650. Matthew was born December 11, 1939 in Flint to Matthew Romaine Graves and Eloise (Gidney) Graves. He married Judith Armstrong on March 30, 1963 in Flint. Matthew worked for 32 years as a fork truck driver for GM before retiring in 1993. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judith; 3 children, Stephanie (Scott) Corey of Lapeer, Scott (Laurel) Graves of Swartz Creek, and Sally McCall of Stanwood; 6 grandchildren, Jessica, Ben (Mariah), Katie, Brendan, Delaney and Jackson; brother-in-law, Stanley McDaniel; and several nieces and nephews.
