FOSTER, Matthew D. - age 57, of Gladwin, formerly of Gaines, died Friday, August 24, 2012. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Matthew was born March 27, 1955, the son of Maclyn D. and Joyce Nancy (Shuler) Foster. Matthew was a graduate of Fenton High School. He was a motorcycle racing fanatic and an avid Harley rider. Matthew was the 1973 AMA National and Regional Champion. He loved Jeeps, Harleys and dirt bikes. He was a member of the Barons Motorcycle Club in Gaines. Matthew retired from General Motors. He is survived by his son, Michael; mother, Joyce Foster; sisters, Susan Gilbert and Nancy Bateson.
