Mather C. Campbell

CAMPBELL, Mather C.- Age 82, of Branford, FL formerly of Flint, died Monday, July 17, 2006 at Lake City Medical, Lake City, FL.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint.  Minister Kenneth Campbell officiating.  Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-9 PM Friday.  Those desiring may make contributions to Valley Christian Acadamy, 3266 S. Genesee Road, Burton.  Mr. Campbell was born November 14, 1923 in Amagon, AR, the son of Benjamin and Nellie (Yancy) Campbell.  He married Auda M. Hensley January 29, 1954 in Arkansas, and she preceded him in death February 5, 1998.  He retired from GM as a Tool and Die Maker in 1982 after 29 years of service.  He was a former member of Averill Avenue Church of Christ and U.A.W. Local 1292.  Surviving are:  daughter, Margaret and husband Robert Miller of Byron; 3 sons, Roy Adcox of Burton, Mather Campbell, Jr. of Byron, Kenneth and wife Lisa Campbell of Florida.  Many grandchildren and great grandchildren; 2 brothers and 2 sisters; many nieces and nephews.  He was also preceded in death by his parents; 2 daughters, Hazel Campbell, Patsy Adcox; son, Bobbie Adcox; 2 sister and 1 brother.
