Marylee E. Abbott

ABBOTT, Marylee E.  Age 70, of Swartz Creek, went home to be with the Lord on April 13, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer and with her children by her side. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Sunday, April 17, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Chaplain Goodman Cox officiating. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Friday and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. She was born in Flint on January 10, 1935 to Howard and Esther Norfleet. She was the youngest of seven children. Marylee loved to play the piano and played her whole life. She loved working with the public retiring from Colonial Restaurant in 2001 after 23 years of service. She attended Flint Central High School. Marylee loved growing up downtown Flint and working at her mothers restaurant, Lady Esthers. She leaves to cherish her memory: four children, Diane (Jim) Taylor of Owosso, Rick (Wendie) Abbott of Flint, Shelley (Darrell) Lindsey of Burton, Ellen (Harry) Woods of Gaines; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
